We are looking to hire a Principal Mobile Engineer to help expand our mobile capabilitiy. The ideal candidate must have strong development and leadership experience. He/she must be local to Atlanta GA. This is a hybrid role with the expectations of working onsite 13 days per week.
What Youll Do
- Lead the design architecture and handson development of a crossplatform React Native mobile application integrating with existing client systems.
- Serve as a technical leader and architect defining best practices and ensuring scalable maintainable solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on mobile development best practices guiding teams in iOS and Android nuances.
- Define tradeoffs between rapid development and longterm maintainability ensuring scalable highquality solutions.
- Work in an Agile environment actively participating in standups sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Regularly demonstrate progress and provide clear technical direction for project success.
- Coach and mentor both internal and clientside developers fostering technical growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from junior developers to executives translating business needs into technical solutions.
What Youll Bring
- 12 yearsof software engineering experience including technical consulting.
- 10 yearsof crossplatform iOS & Android mobile development experience.
- Deep expertise in React Native with a strong understanding of native iOS and Android
considerations (form factor performance platformspecific nuances). - Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and leading development teams.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to prototype and evaluate alternative solutions.
- Ability to work infastpaced startuplike environments balancing speed with longterm maintainability.
- Strong communication skills with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working incrossfunctional teams including fulltime employees and contractors.
- Broad experience across software engineering best practices DevOps cloud infrastructure and data.
- Must be a selfstarter enthusiastic and flexible.
- Preference for Atlanta based.
Nice To Have
- Experience working withfintech or banking applications.
- Experience withhardware integrations and nativespecific implementationsin React Native such as Bluetooth biometrics sensors or camera functionalityareas where crossplatform solutions may require deeper native expertise.
- Strong DevOps skills including:
- CI/CD pipeline managementfor mobile applications.
- Automating deploymentsto the App Store and Google Play including handling signing provisioning and release management.
- Familiarity withExpo including when to leverage it versus ejecting to bare workflow for deeper native functionality.
- Experience withunit testing integration testing and E2E automation.
- Published applicationson the App Store and Google Play Store with a strong understanding of:
- Thepublishing processfor both platforms including provisioning compliance and approval workflows.
- Setting up and managingtesting environments(TestFlight for iOS Google Play Console Internal Testing for Android).
- App Store Optimization (ASO)best practices to improve discoverability and user acquisition.
