Benefits
- Flat rate of $45/hr
- $300 per month for individuals located 60 or more miles away from ChildServe
- Flexible scheduling
- hours per week)
- Every 3rd weekend
- Within the respiratory therapy scope of practice physicians orders and the childs care plan make decisions and deliver a full range of respiratory therapy care based on the fundamentals of respiratory therapy care.
- Maintain accurate completed and timely records as defined by respiratory therapy standards of practice and ChildServepolicies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively respectfully and professionally with children physicians families school personnel ChildServestaff and others to ensure assigned childs care needs are assessed communicated and met.
- Stay current with all unit and ChildServespecific information.
- Provide respiratory and related training to children families and staff as needed to help advance the skills and knowledge of all people associated with a childs care delivery.
- Demonstrate good stewardship of ChildServeequipment supplies and environment.
- Certification from an accredited respiratory therapy program and current licensure to practice in the state of Iowa.
- Documentation of current CPR/BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Ventilator experience required.
- Experience with tracheostomy care and changes preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the assigned work area and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language.
