Job Description

Workforce Career Coach (Full Time) will assist students with planning and developing pathways to attain career/professional goals using career mapping sessions and coordinating careerrelated activities that support the needs of the student and department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to help students overcome employmentrelated challenges.
  • Identify student strengths and advise them on how to use those strengths to secure employment or excel in their chosen career path.
  • Provide information on suitable career paths based on clients skills qualifications interests and experience.
  • Review students resumes and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of students progress.
  • Serve as a liaison with employers to identify job opportunities for students
  • Train and supervise assigned student workers and implement research study protocols and best practices as directed by the Director of Workforce Development and Training.
  • Provide internal and external reports assist with grant data collection face to face and virtual student meetings.
  • Create materials guides and facilitate training related to department needs.
  • Work with the Director of Workforce Development to develop positive longterm relationships with business and industry representatives.

Education

  • Bachelors degree required from an accredited college/university with major coursework in business or related field of study.
  • Masters degree is preferred for this FullTime position.
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
  • Some travel required.
