Workforce Career Coach (Full Time) will assist students with planning and developing pathways to attain career/professional goals using career mapping sessions and coordinating careerrelated activities that support the needs of the student and department.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to help students overcome employmentrelated challenges.
- Identify student strengths and advise them on how to use those strengths to secure employment or excel in their chosen career path.
- Provide information on suitable career paths based on clients skills qualifications interests and experience.
- Review students resumes and suggest improvements as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of students progress.
- Serve as a liaison with employers to identify job opportunities for students
- Train and supervise assigned student workers and implement research study protocols and best practices as directed by the Director of Workforce Development and Training.
- Provide internal and external reports assist with grant data collection face to face and virtual student meetings.
- Create materials guides and facilitate training related to department needs.
- Work with the Director of Workforce Development to develop positive longterm relationships with business and industry representatives.
Education
- Bachelors degree required from an accredited college/university with major coursework in business or related field of study.
- Masters degree is preferred for this FullTime position.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
- Some travel required.
