Job Description Summary
This is an opportunity to become a Student Computer Technician providing support of campus technologies to faculty staff and students in offices classrooms and computer labs. The objective of this program is to employ and develop the next generation of technology professionals by providing practical work experience for students at the Largo campus. These positions will be working under the direction of Enterprise Technologys Technology Client Support Services. Students are expected to work approximately 10 hours per week. Work schedules are coordinated individually with each student to ensure their availability for scheduled classes and the business needs of the College. Current support operations are conducted during these times: (Monday Saturday) 8:00 AM 9:45 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM 4:30 PM).
Minimum Qualifications
# Must be a current PGCC student enrolled with a course load of 12 credits or more per semester with a PGCC grade point average of 2.50 or above. # High School diploma or equivalent. # Completion of course INT 1010 (Introduction to Information Technology) or equivalent course is required. # Completion of INT 1540 (Computer Hardware I) or equivalent course is required. # Previous technology experience is preferred but not required. # PGCC Information Technology related major is preferred but not required. # Previous experience providing customer service is preferred but not required.
