Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance team in Wrexham. Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor the role will be at our production facility and involve the following:

  • Diagnosing fault finding and repair of Medium/Heavy industrial plant and machinery.
  • Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections.
  • Developing and implementing modifications to improved reliability of plant and machinery.
  • Working as a team with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.
  • Adherence to Health & Safety with absolute priority.
  • Lifting and handling plant and machinery components using appropriate equipment and techniques.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Time served with EITB/equivalent Certificate of Craftsmanship.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic.
  • Welding and brazing.
  • Rigging of unbalanced loads.
  • Risk assessment and safety awareness guarding of machinery legislation.
  • High pressure steam maintenance.
  • MS Office or equivalent.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical Engineering.

The Person

Time served with experience in all aspects of mechanical maintenance engineering.

Selfmotivated and must appreciate the demands of a 24/7 continuous production process with a keen to get the job finished attitude. Good team working and communication skills.

Working hours to be discussed at interview and confirmed however likely to involve shift work.
