Job Description
Hire Resolves client in the mechanical engineering industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Design Mechanical Engineer in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and test mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards in mechanical engineering for water supply systems.
- Perform quality and performance analysis on mechanical equipment.
- Design and maintain electrical systems for buildings and waterworks.
- Evaluate systems for safety reliability and performance.
- Oversee the implementation of mechanical systems and ensure they meet customer needs and standards.
Requirements:
- B.Eng. or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Design Mechanical Engineer specifically in electrical installations for large water supply pumping systems.
- Proven track record of working on at least 4 major bulk water transfer projects over the past 8 years.
- Demonstrated ability to design control and implement electrical systems and products.
- Experience in risk assessment and budget management.
