Senior Tax Accountant Real Estate Investment Group
Buckingham Search is partnered with a nationally recognized leader in commercial real estate and finance with over five decades of success. They are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team and contribute to the continued success of our organization. This hybrid role is based in the west suburbs of Chicago offering a collaborative environment with a closeknit team exceptional benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal state and local tax returns for corporations and partnerships.
- Analyze financial data to calculate tax estimates provisions (ASC 740 and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with tax deadlines including extensions estimates and filings.
- Research and interpret tax law changes and communicate findings to leadership.
- Assist with audits respond to tax notices and gather information for various reporting requirements (e.g. Form 1099MISC Form 1099DIV).
- Participate in professional groups and leadership activities for ongoing growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 3 years of experience in federal and state taxation including preparation and review of corporate and partnership tax returns (real estate industry experience is a plus).
- Strong project management communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

This is a HYBRIDposition based near Downers Grove IL. This role requires 3 days onsite/2 days WFH.
