Job Description
Job Summary: The UPS Store Howard Beach #6495 is seeking a motivated and customer serviceoriented PartTime Center Associate to join our team in Queens New York. As a Center Associate you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and handling a variety of tasks in a fastpaced environment. This is a parttime hourly position with a competitive salary of $16.50 per hour and is perfect for individuals looking for a flexible work schedule.
Compensation & Benefits: This is an individual contributor role with a competitive hourly rate of $16.50 per hour paid biweekly. In addition our employees have access to a range of benefits including paid time off employee discounts and opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Answer and direct phone calls take messages and schedule appointments
Process and package shipments and handle domestic and international shipping documents
Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
Maintain clean and organized store appearance
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Assist with print and copy services including document formatting and printing
Upsell products and services to customers
Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous customer service experience preferred
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and transport packages up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
