Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):Work as an assistant in the Ensemble Library.We will be hiring one student who will report to the Ensemble Library primarily but will also work collaboratively with the Music Organizations office when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collection maintenance duties (includes ongoing project of reinventorying band and orchestral sets and scores)
- Assistance with weeding project (selecting and removing titles for withdrawal)
- Miscellaneous duties including score/part repair barcoding of choral music general cleanup and organization in both the choral and band/orchestra library spaces etc.
- Contributing to several longterm digitization projects including digitization of manuscript choral music collection and digitization of choral reference scores
- Potential relocation of the band and orchestra ensemble library holdings.
- Staff audition tables during Week Zero first year auditions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Experience with Excel/Word and Google Docs/Sheets
- Communication skills
- Ability to focus and be productive in a hightraffic work environment
- Capacity to successfully complete tasks independently with little supervision
- Ability to collaborate and interact well with staff members on large projects
- Discretion around confidential information
- Ability to prioritize and balance work responsibilities
- Ability to stay positive under stress
- Ability to read music

- Must be a current St. Olaf student planning to return in the fall. (Current firstyears sophomores or juniors.
- This employment 1520 hrs/week) begins on Wednesday May 21 2025 and continues through Wednesday September 3 2025. Shifts will be primarily scheduled MTh between 8:305:00 p.m. Please also note that you will likely be asked to take a short unpaid vacation covering one week. Dates to be coordinated with your supervisor.
