Transmission Technician

Compensation: The Transmission Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.00 and $67.00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. Additionally this position may also pay a retention bonus of $1.25 per every booked hour

Transmission Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical issues recommended and safetyoriented and fix them correctly the first time
• Disassemble diagnose and repair vehicle transmission
• Cleaning and inspection of all parts
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a nontechnical manner to service advisors and customers
• Service transmissions airconditioning engine mounts timing belts and more
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Deliver guests cars every time on time as promised
• Take detailed notes during and postinspection
• Always keep workstation clean
• Create and maintain loyal service guest relationships

As a Transmission Technician you will quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions.The Transmission Service Technician isresponsible for setting goals for personal service improvement and monitor progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production numbers as provided by the Service Manager.As Transmission Service Technician you must be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 3 years of experience as atransmission technician
• Factory Certified preferred
• Experience in performing warranty and nonwarranty inspections diagnostic maintenance and repair service on various vehicle makes and models.
• Proven track record of achieving or overachieving goals
• Outstanding communication skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Great attitude with a highenergy personality
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to exercise good judgement
• Valid drivers license and insurability by employers carrier
