Job Description
- Collaborates with and reports to the studios Digital Practice Manager.
- Collaborates with Design Teams to develop projectspecific implementation strategies. Acts as ongoing project consultant to ensure success.
- Ensures quality assurance with project teams to maintain modeling quality and fidelity adherence to firm wide modeling and information workflows and continuity of information across applications.
- Represents and coordinates with the firm wide Digital Practice group to promote local adoption of new technologies workflows and practices.
- Coordinates applications support with our IT infrastructure group and firm wide help desk.
- Provides Digital Design support to designers.
- Communicates exemplar processes procedures practices and workflows.
- Conducts continuing education workshops and assists with curriculum development.
- Participates in office and firm wide planning relative to design technology innovation and implementation.
- Proactively maintains and communicates current knowledge relative to technology through journals vendor resources marketing collateral and design community.
- 25 years of experience in all phases of the architectural design process as well as commitment and passion for learning new design application technologies and strategies
- Strong communication skills; written oral and graphic representation
- Some experience in application customization through programming and scripting
- General aptitude and comfort level with training and technical support both oneonone and ingroup settings
- General familiarity with design visualization and environmental analysis applications
- Highlevel of proficiency leveraging Revit Rhino and Grasshopper in the architectural production process including the ability to administer configure and maintain the application
- Revit Rhino and other applications in Perkins&Wills design technology suite
- Bachelors Degree in related field required.
- Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty BREEAM AP WELL AP SITES AP Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD or ILFI Living Future Accreditation preferred
- Active involvement in AXP or starting the ARE Process preferred
