The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced NonDestructive Test (NDT) Quality Test Specialist (Level 3 to support the 787 Quality Team based out of North Charleston South Carolina.

Position Responsibilities:
Performs setup for specialized nondestructive test or measurement equipment.
Develops procedures and processes.
Performs tests or inspections and collects data.
Documents analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations.
Provides feedback on adverse trends.
Responsible for nondestructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
Conducts certification preparation training
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Boeing South Carolina (BSC) site.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Willing to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime
3 years of experience in NDI (nondestructive inspection) or NDT (nondestructive test)
3 years of experience inspecting parts components assemblies or units.
3 years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques.
Capable of working in confined spaces and fit through a 10X18 oval opening
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current or prior NAS410 Certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing. Must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review
Current or prior NAS410 Certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing Must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review
Must be capable of working in confined spaces and fit through a 10 x 18 opening
Must be able to work from heights in excess of 125 feet
Analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic Cscans is an asset
Digital radiography experience is an asset
Experience inspecting composite material is an asset
Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor1 years related work experience 5 years related work experience etc..
