Job Description
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decisionmaking processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for the management team and investors.
- Lead the annual budgeting process working closely with department heads to finalize and align financial plans with business goals.
- Monitor budget adherence and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors for annual audits and address audit findings.
- Support the evaluation of new business opportunities investments and partnerships from a financial perspective.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Analyze financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard the companys assets and profitability.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and laws in the fintech/lending industry.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in the companys policies and procedures.
- Serve as a financial liaison to internal and external stakeholders providing clear and concise financial data and insights.
- Assist in preparing materials for investor meetings and strategic discussions.
- Mentor and develop a small finance team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments to enhance overall business performance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Essential:Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must.
- Minimum of 34 years of experience in financial management preferably within the fintech or lending industry.
- Strong analytical financial modeling and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
Preferred:
- Additional qualifications such as CFA or MBA will be an advantage.
- Experience in startup environments or earlystage companies is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial software and tools (e.g. Excel ERP systems) and understanding of financial regulations in India.
