IT Systems Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to ensure the smooth operation security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This role involves managing hardware software and networks while providing technical support to employees. The ideal candidate will have strong problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to system maintenance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Install configure and maintain operating systems hardware and enterprise applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Network Management: Oversee LAN WAN and wireless networks troubleshooting issues to maintain seamless connectivity.
- User Support: Provide technical assistance to employees resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Security & Compliance: Implement Cybersecurity measures manage antivirus updates and ensure patch management to safeguard IT systems.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and test backup strategies to ensure business continuity in case of system failures.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system and network performance identifying potential issues and implementing necessary updates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT configurations processes and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work with IT teams and other departments to optimize technology solutions and ensure smooth operations.
- Vendor & Asset Management: Coordinate with vendors for procurement licensing and IT asset management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Proven experience in system and network administration.
- Certifications (Preferred): MCSA RHCSA CCNA CompTIA Network or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Windows/Linux/macOS administration.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware HyperV).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure).
- Strong knowledge of network security firewalls and backup solutions.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a teamoriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
Additional Information:
- May require afterhours or weekend work for system maintenance.
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Occasional travel to remote locations or data centers.
