Salary: $37.10 $46.35 per hour based on fulltime hours. Start rate will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary progression based on merit.
Location: We are actively accepting applications for St Andrews Manitoba; Sioux Lookout and Kitchener ON locations. Rotational opportunities are available across all locations.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Avionics Engineer to join our team. The Avionics Engineer will be responsible for the design development testing and maintenance of the electronic systems used in aircraft. This includes communication navigation and flight control systems as well as the integration of advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on aircraft avionics systems including communication navigation radar and flight control systems.
Carry out comprehensive inspections of avionics equipment to ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Use specialized diagnostic tools and software to test and verify system functionality and performance.
Repair or replace malfunctioning avionics components and ensure all systems are functioning correctly before returning the aircraft to service.
Ensure all modifications comply with Transport Canada and industry standards following proper documentation and certification procedures.
Collaborate with AMEs to modify wiring systems integrate new technology and conduct system upgrades to improve aircraft performance.
Proficiency in using avionics testing equipment diagnostic tools and related software.
Maintain records of inspections repairs and installations in aircraft logbooks and maintenance software.
Conduct thorough final inspections to certify that the avionics work performed meets airworthiness standards before returning the aircraft to service
Ability to travel from time to time to other base locations as per operational needs in St. Andrews Manitoba; Sioux Lookout Thunder Bay and Kitchener Ontario.
Qualifications:
College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational institution.
Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license Category E (Avionics).
Must be able to acquire and maintain a Restricted Airside Identification Card (RAIC)
Previous experience with Aircraft Maintenance Systems (AMS) an asset
Previous experience with Navajo Chieftain and Metro/Merlin aircraft an asset
Strong problemsolving troubleshooting and technical skills.
Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
