Job purpose

BorgWarner is currently seeking for a dynamic resultsdriven individual to join as a Senior Financial Analyst at our World Headquarters in Auburn Hills Michigan.

The Senior Financial Analyst Consolidation & Reporting will be responsible for various tasks related to the monthly close and consolidation of the total company. The responsibilities will include monthly topside journal entries and analysis of certain accounts at a global level. This person will provide support during the monthly close and consolidation to over 90 locations throughout the world. Additional responsibilities may include providing assistance with preparation of SEC filings including preparation of footnote disclosures for certain areas of the documents. The Senior Financial Analyst Consolidation and Reporting will report to the Sr. Manager Consolidation and Reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Post monthly close consolidating and topside journal entries.
• Review the monthly consolidation to ensure intercompany balances are eliminated and followup with global plant locations as necessary.
• Perform monthly and quarterly analytical reviews and reconciliations for certain accounts.
• Support the global locations with various questions/requests related to their monthly close.
• Assist with inquiries from internal and external audit.
• Provide support as needed on SEC filings preparation which may include preparation of footnotes and tieouts.

What were looking for

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• CPA preferred
• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Experience in OneStream preferred
• SEC reporting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Automotive industry experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Highly driven / selfstarter
