Job Description
As a Behavioral Health Associate at Covington Behavioral Health you will participate in the development and implementation of patients treatment plan by:
- Providing care and close supervision of facility patients and documenting behavior
- Developing positive relationships with patients and coworkers
- Following facility policies and procedures implementing treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as necessary.
- Actively participant as part of the treatment team providing continuous patient care supervision interaction
- Act as a role model in using appropriate counseling skills by deescalating aggression using active listening skills using appropriate tone and volume of voice providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements maintaining appropriate boundaries and promoting a positive peer culture.

We are looking for candidates who can work 6:45am7pm on a rotating schedule must be able to work weekends. Experience is preferred but not required.
Covington Behavioral Health is a 104bed inpatient psychiatric treatment center for adults and seniors located in Covington Louisianaspecializing in providing compassionate individualized care for adult individuals who are experiencing difficulties with their emotional and mental wellbeing. We offer a comprehensive suite of inpatient care with detox.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a CMS regulated facility this role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID 19 based on local state and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
