Job Description
Location: Salt River Cape Town
The primary purpose of the role is the weighing & Blending of raw materials according to the batch sheet and compliance with company SOPs GMP and food safety standards.
Minimum qualification required:
Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science advantages
Must have a clear criminal record.
People skills:
Team work

Key Responsibilities:
Basic Operations
- Weighing of raw materials according to batch sheet to correct method asdescribed in the SOP to ensure consistent quality of the product
- Blending according to the batch sheet with accurate calculations andmeasurement.
- Report any problems with processes environment maintenance mechanicalfaults and changes
- Careful use of equipment for intended purpose
- Complete batch sheets and ensure all fields are accurately completed
- Equipment and area well maintained and cleaning register completed at theend of each batch
- Assist in stock taking and supporting stock accuracy
- Hazardous situations are reported or resolved immediately
- Incidents /accidents are prevented by correctly operating equipment andfollowing health and safety procedures as laid down by legislation andcompany policy
- Responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean and tidy state at all timesfollowing approved and validated cleaning procedures.
- Deviations from theprocedures will have a negative impact on the GMP standard of the of thefacility
- Uphold company policies with specific reference (but not exclusive to) topersonal hygiene personal protective equipment and cleaning procedures
- It is the responsibility of each employee to ensure quality of work at each stepwithin the process preceding and after the step that the employee isperforming
- Performing the above tasks in such a manner as to preserve and protectyourself coworkers the machinery employed and the integrity of the productthroughout
