About the Position:
An ideal candidate for the Senior Consultant position in DRSs Procurement Practice will have a strong background in public procurement policy processes and procedures. The candidate will provide subject matter expertlevel support to complex public procurement projects including disaster recovery projects utilizing federal state and local funds. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for supporting the Procurement Practice strategy in relation to the overall business strategy as directed by the Procurement Managing Consultant and/or the Project Executive.
Key Responsibilities:
Support clients with federal state and local grant procurement projects with an emphasis on cost support and recovery
Deliver exceptional public procurement consulting to state and local governments K12 highered and private nonprofit clients
Recommend bestpractice procurement and contracting procedures
Develop solicitation scopes of work and other solicitation documents under the direction of the assigned Procurement Managing Consultant and/or Project Executive
Support the client during the public bid/solicitation process for goods services equipment professional services and construction projects as requested by the Procurement Managing Consultant and/ or Project Executive
Participate in project calls with clients as requested
Report on procurement projectrelated metrics as requested
Provide onsite disaster procurement and contracting support as requested by the client
Cultivate and manage positive relationships with client procurement staff
Ensure compliance with engagement risk protocols
Participate in prospective client webinars and meetings as requested
Represent DRS at professional conferences such as NIGP CAPPO FAPPO TASBO etc.
Develop continuous subject matter expertise in public procurement trends initiatives and compliance areas
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the public procurement sector
A bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in business public administration supply chain management or related discipline
Current procurement professional certifications such as NIGPCPP CPPO CPPB or related certifications are a plus
Exceptional communication skills
High energy style flexible and adaptive with the ability to work well in a very fastpaced environment
Ability to adapt to complex client environments and situations
Proven track record of effectively supporting the public procurement process
Excellent written communication skills selfdirected with the preparation of clientready document and presentation development
Articulate persuasive communicator who is adept at handling challenging audiences well including the ability to adapt style to audience
Work Location:
This position is a remote work experience with travel required to be at client sites as the projects dictate.
Salary Transparency:
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $125000$200000 with a discretionary bonus and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level.
