Were looking for a Senior Architect to join our GHD Design team.

GHD Design is a global design company operating through the GHD network of studios and offices with a 30 year presence in WA. This provides a unique opportunity to leverage the depth of our geographic reach while maintaining local knowledge infusion commitment and character. In WA our team includes Architecture Landscape Architecture Interior Design and Urban Design delivering projects across 10 different market sectors.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Directing projects with supervision from a Technical Director of Architecture liaising with Clients and mentoring team members on the go.
- Establishing project delivery strategies and developing the actual projects plan QA plan project resourcing and establishing working briefs and budget.
- Collaboratively designing and documenting projects across different typologies.
- Direct technical performance on projects carrying out regular reviews and adherence to the quality plan and taking corrective actions if needed.
- Participating in local and national project design reviews.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor degree in Architecture is a must.
- Registration with the Institute of Architects is preferred but we can also assist you in becoming registered.
- 7-10 years relevant experience preferably in a consulting environment.
- Architectural design and documentation skills covering a broad range of project types and budgets.
- Excellent verbal and graphic presentation skills.
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
- Sound Specification & Contract writing skills related to the architectural practice.
- Proficient in the use of Word and Excel.
- Proficientin Autodesk (Revit/Autocad) Sketchup Microsoft office packages and Adobe
- Experience in Enscape and Lumion desirable.
- Is passionate about Architecture and quality design.
- Strong design aesthetic
