Job Description
Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a parttime adjunct for Societies Human Resource Management Certification (SHRM) (noncredit) in our Economic Development Division. Under minimal supervision this individual will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction; evaluate students progress in attaining goals objectives and student learning outcomes and attend staff meetings. Further requirements include assisting with recruitment and retention. This position requires day evening and/or online instruction. This position is parttime/nonexempt.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare material for SHRM class
- Coordinate SHRM curriculum or content of classes lectures or other educational materials
- Oversee the operations of certification
- Staying abreast of changes in the SHRM industry
- Ensures adherence to technical college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following established procedures
- Ensures consistency in syllabi lesson plans educational materials assessments and other appropriate course work based on the SHRM guidelines
- Monitors use of and maintains supplies equipment and/or facilities for assigned program
- Identifies
- Assists with registration and orientation functions
- Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Management Business Administration or related field.
- SHRM Certification
- Two years in teaching or training.
Salary/Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
