Job Description

Position Summary
The Department of World Languages and Cultures in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI invites applications for a nontenure track Lecturer in American Sign Language with expertise in teaching ASL at all proficiency levels. This tenmonth renewable nontenure track appointment begins August 1 2023. This position is benefitseligible with the opportunity for promotion. IUPUI welcomes applications from candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to diversity. The Department of World Languages and Cultures offer a full range of ASL language courses. The person in this position will teach four undergraduate ASL classes per semester 80 and will have service responsibilities 20 including interaction with students in the ASL lab participation in department and university faculty activities and networking with the Deaf community.
