Job Description

Position Summary

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) role within US Clinical Marketing team will be managing several software solutions developed for data management infectious disease surveillance and lab workflow capabilities across bioMrieuxs market specialties including Immunoassay Molecular and Microbiology instrumentation and analyzers. The software offerings to be managed may include CLARIONMYLA EPISEQ FIREWORKS TRENDS VILINK and thirdparty vendors.

The PMM will report directly to the Associate Director Integrated Solutions and will work closely to align tactics with an overarching software and services marketing strategy. The PMM is the owner of software solutions the product expert and market expert with a clear understanding of market drivers competitors target market campaigns and buyer/user personas. The PMM will be working alongside other team members to align and compliment software upsell and crosssell strategies. Experience with SoftwareasaService is a plus.

ThePMMwillplaya lead role in the development of marketing plans messaging demand generation; and holds primary responsibility for tactical in support of departmental software and services objectives. This position requires collaboration and engagement with key crossfunctional departments in bioMrieux including sales medical affairs customer service compliance legal communications and market intelligence. This position will also require ownership of social media email and digital strategies from inception to launch that are timebound and metric driven.

This position will require recruitment of and engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the industry and being the point of contact with KOLs as well as developing programs with KOLs to drive thoughtleadership content and stories for the hospital from the lab to leadership. Experience with infectious disease specialists is a plus.

The PMM position is a hybrid remote and inoffice position that will require up to 30 of travel including trade show support customer visits and internal meetings. Role will be based in either Salt Lake City Utah or Durham North Carolina.

Monitors and generatea actionable insights into:

  • Competition
  • Market trends
  • Sales performance and trends in assigned business area
  • Pricing effectiveness
  • Customer behaviors beliefs and attitudes
  • Market opportunities
  • Effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics
  • Market research and business intelligence needs
  • Clinical data gaps

Interfaces works closely with and or Manages:

  • Customers
  • Sales force & field employees
  • Internal R&D Manufacturing Legal Quality personnel
  • KOLs
  • Advertising agency
  • 3rd party vendors
  • Company executive management

Training and Education

  • Bachelors degree in biological sciences health science medical technology or businessrelated field
  • At least 3 years of successful product marketing (in an associate manager or manager positions) experience with diagnostic or medical products OR 3 years experience with software such as clinical decision support EHR/EMR or lab information systems

Experience

  • Working knowledge of marketing software to the field of infectious diseases infection prevention clinical surveillance or pharmacy
  • Accountbased marketing or multichannel marketing practices
  • Presenting technical information to audience with various levels of scientific experience.
  • Microsoft Office; PowerPoint Word and Excel and contact management databases.
  • Fluent in English.

Knowledge Skills and Abilites

  • Knowledge of business intelligence/analytics tools or clinical decision support software
  • Knowledge of molecular biology microbiology immunology or clinical laboratory techniques is highly desired but not a requirement.
  • Knowledge of lab equipment and/or process is preferred but not required.
