Qualifications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
- Must be knowledgeable regarding the Health Information Management Department process and its application and evaluation of qualitative issues.
- Minimum two years HIM management / supervisory experience; required.
- Successful completion of college level courses in anatomy physiology medical terminology and coding
- ICD and CPT knowledge; required.
- Successful completion of an education program for Registered Health Information Technician (R.H.I.T.)or Registered Health Information Administrator (R.H.I.A.; required.
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in a related field; preferred.
