Job Description

Job Title:Deputy Manager

Provision:Childrens Residential Home

Where you will be based: Swinton Manchester

The Service Users:Children aged 7 to 17 with Mild Learning Difficulties and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

Working Week and Pay:

  • Hours:48 hours per week 4 shifts of 12 hours each on a rolling rota days only. Note that the Deputy Manager is responsible for the staff rota including their own shifts.
  • Salary: 38600 per annum

  • Growth Plans:Expanding their services to support more children and young people both with Children EBD and LD Residential and Care leaver services.

What you will need/NoneNegotiables:

  • Qualifications:Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
  • Experience:Previous role as a Deputy or Assistant Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker in the Residential Child Care sector
  • Driving Licence:A full valid UK driving licence for manual vehicles
  • Fluent in English:Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Other Skills:IT proficient and the desire to learn new skills
  • Understanding of:Safeguarding children legislation relating to residential childcare and confidence in supervising care teams
