About the role

As part of this exciting new journey we are looking for two Security Engineers to be part of the security team and work with other ICT infrastructure and application teams.
Key areas of the role:
Identifying IT threats and software vulnerabilities.
Knowledge and experience with Essential 8 and uplifting the maturity and capability of the customers existing security function.
Configuring integrating and troubleshooting tasks across a range of tools and applications.
Assessing identifying and fixing systemrelated problems.
Providing solutions to issues that arise daily on site.
Work closely with our customer and their Security function.
Skills required to excel:
Experience in a Security Engineer role or similar.
Proven experience securing enterprise network and server infrastructure including both onpremises and cloud environments.
Expertise in network security concepts and technologies (e.g. firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs).
Experience with Azure cloud security practices and tools.
Proficiency in vulnerability assessment methodologies.
Strong knowledge of system hardening techniques and secure configuration practices.
Familiarity with security monitoring and logging tools including SIEM systems.
Understanding of operating systems (Windows Linux) and their security configurations.
Skills in scripting or programming (e.g. Python PowerShell) for automating security tasks and analysis
