Job Description

Position Description:
The Division of Allergy Asthma and Immunology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Childrens Wisconsin (CW) is seeking a board certified/board eligible Allergist/Immunologist with an established research program in the area of food allergy. The position will have an academic appointment as an assistant associate or full professor depending on qualifications.

The Division is committed to excellence in clinical care research teaching and advocacy. We have current clinical research efforts in food allergy asthma atopic dermatitis hereditary angioedema and immune deficiency. We are seeking to expand our research by recruiting an externally funded investigator focused on food allergy focused basic science translational or clinical research.

The successful candidate will have a welldeveloped research program focused on food allergies and be comfortable caring for allergy/immunology patients of all ages. Substantial resources are available to support the research and transition including dedicated laboratory space salary support and transitional funding.

About our MCW Allergy/Immunology Division
The Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology evaluates and treats both children and adults at our primary Milwaukee site located in the Childrens Wisconsin Craig Yabuki Tower and at all our Care Closer to Home sites around the area. Our Division currently consisting of 7 faculty physicians and 8 advance practice providers provides care for patients of all ages and the full spectrum of allergic and immunologic disorders. Our faculty consist of both internal medicine and pediatric trained physicians.

As the allergy/clinical immunology service for the Medical College of Wisconsin we service Childrens Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital and the Zablocki VA Medical Center. Our outpatient practice is based at CW but we also see patients at the Clement Zablocki Veterans Affairs Hospital (VA) as well as inpatient consultations at CW the VA and Froedtert Hospital. Additionally we have restarted our allergy/immunology fellowship program with our first class of fellows starting July 2025.

We are a Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center of Excellence for Primary Immunodeficiency since 2006. We recently received a $1 million dollar donation to enhance our Food Allergy Program. We participate in clinical trials and are funded in areas ranging from asthma allergic rhinitis food allergy hereditary angioedema and primary immunodeficiency. We also have an active immunodiagnostic lab.
