ShorterUniversity a NCAA Division II institution which competes in the Gulf SouthConference is currently accepting applicants for the position of Graduate Assistantto the Track & Field/Cross Country teams. This position will be responsiblefor assisting the Head and Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches withsport specific coaching travelling with the team equipment inventory controlmeet preparation practices strength & conditioning programs and allother duties as assigned by the Head or Assistant Track & Field/CrossCountry Coach. All activities shall be conducted within the policies andresource framework of the University the Athletics Department the Gulf SouthConference and the NCAA.
Mastersdegree options are: MBA MBA emphasis in Sports Management or Master ofManagement. In exchange for hours worked for the team the successful candidatewill be given free tuition for graduate courses subject to the GraduateAssistantship Guidelines of the University.
Qualifications:
The successful candidatewill be guided by high morals and character that exemplify their Christianbeliefs in their everyday walk and possess a strong work ethic excellentcommunication skills and resilience to a fluid work schedule.
Previous experience inhigh school or university Track & Field/Cross Country as a coach and/orplayer is required.
Required: Bachelors degree from an accreditedinstitution and admission to the Shorter University Online Graduate program.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Business Administrationor Sports Management.
