We have been nationally recognized for our work with English Language Dean of Scholar Support RoleThe Dean of Scholar Support collaborates with teachers and campus leaders to ensure that all scholars achieve at high levels and develop as serviceminded leaders. They manage a portfolio of special education teachers specialists and interventionists. At Alma we believe that talent is the most important lever driving student success. We know that we can best serve our scholars by helping you to meet your longterm professional growth and career Leadership The Dean of Scholar Support manages and coaches a group of special education teachers ESL specialists interventionists and/or fellows toward high performance. This includes conducting weekly observations and one on one meetings with teachers coaching teachers on targeted areas and evaluating Support LeadershipCollaborate with members of the scholar support team to analyze and act on school wide academic data and ensure effective school wide instructional and take responsibility for performance goals for specialists you managePlan and facilitate high quality training for Alma facultyManage outside service providers including OT Speech and CounselingOnboard train and support in the hiring of candidates for the specialist department Program Compliance and AdministrationOversee compliance of the special education and ESL specialists you manage and your designated grade spanCoordinate and facilitate IEP/504 meetings RTI meetings suspension hearings and other team meetings as neededWho Were Looking ForWe seek outstanding leader with the following qualifications:At least two years of experience teaching special educationMassachusetts DESE special education teacher license required special education administrator license prefered.
