POSITION SUMMARY

Looking for a paid fulltime internship that offers handson experience and professional growth ASIs 12week Summer Internship Program (May 12 August 1 pairs you with industry experts for oneonone mentoring realworld projects and skillbuilding workshops.

The ASI Intern Program provides a strong foundation for future career advancement providing participants with essential skills and experience to excel in their chosen field. In this role interns will:

  • Be paired with a fulltime staff member for oneonone mentoring opportunities.
  • Contribute and work on realworld projects.
  • Engage in training opportunities for professional development.
  • Attend workplace and life skills workshops to aid in soft skills development for young professionals.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
  2. Ability to adapt communication style and messaging to different audiences.
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately.
  4. Ability to work in a projectoriented fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
  5. Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office Word Outlook Power Point Excel SharePoint).
Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Working towards at least a fouryear degree in the required discipline.


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  1. Due to contractual requirements must be a United States Citizen
  2. Must be able to pass an initial background check.
  3. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance. Employee/selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (as required)
  4. Travel (CONUS and/or OCONUS) is required to support onsite integration testing and acceptance which may include extended periods at customer locations.
  5. ASI is a Drug Free Workplace where applicants and employees are required to successfully pass preemployment and Random drug testing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
  2. Must be able to perform normal office duties (sitting for long periods at a desk or while attending meetings).
  3. Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS via multiple types of transportation to include car and airplane.
  4. Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator.
  5. Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location department or line of business.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  1. Work is primarily performed in an office environment consisting of offices and cubicles with low to moderate noise and bright or dim lighting.
  2. The work is fastpaced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
  3. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as external customers.
