DescriptionCHUBB Global Markets (CGM) is one of four main divisions of CHUBB European Group (CEG) and manages one of the top performing syndicates at Lloyds of London. This is a highly visible actuarial pricing role focussing on the case pricing process for CGM. You will be managing the CGM Financial Lines & Cyber case pricing process for theLondon underwriting team who write risks across the globe. Opportunities may also arise to assist the EMEA Financial Lines & Cyber Pricing team in executing key priorities and strategic projects for CGM and the wider EMEA Financial Lines & Cyber business.
The role is based in London where you will have direct interaction with the underwriting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the key Actuarial Partner to CGM Financial Lines underwriters on the case pricing of individual risks in particular relating to our Professional Indemnity portfolios.
- Responsible for the case pricing process for CGM and wider EMEA Financial Lines & Cyber pricing team including maintaining records of risks priced delegating and reviewing individually priced accounts updating documentation and promoting best practice.
- Responsible for the development and calibration of experience rating tools in support of case pricing of risks/binders. Collaborate with key stakeholders (Chubb Overseas General / underwriters) to ensure tool kits are fit for purpose.
- Assist the CGM Financial Lines & Cyber Actuary and EMEA Financial Lines & Cyber team with other key priorities as required.
- Engage with the wider Actuarial community as necessary.
QualificationsRequired skills & Experience:
- Highly motivated great team player able to deal with different professional backgrounds and adaptable to a fastpaced environment.
- Experienced in case pricing and portfolio management activities.
- Loss Modelling and Statistical Analysis skills.
- Commercial insurance and systemic risk knowledge.
- Strong communicator who can articulate complex messages to a broad range of audiences in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written;proficiency in English required.
- Strong systems / software / data management skills and ability to learn new software on own initiative.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) and R is a must. Dataiku VBA ResQ Radar and Python experience would all be beneficial too.
- Professional actuarial qualification or have made reasonable progress to being qualified.
