Job Description
This is an onsite position at Ascension Providence Hospital Southfield.

As our HIM Supervisor you will be responsible for managing and directing the overall performance of a specified unit/section within a health information management (HIM) department. Every day you will oversee and maintain the integrity of our EMR and data systems assist with and oversee DNFB/DNFC processes and ensure accurate registry maintenance such as birth registry.
Heres What You Can Expect:
Ensure department performance is consistent with productivity quality and compliance expectations
Compile reports and present performance data
Coordinate and participate in external regulatory reviews
Serve as a resource and advisor to local hospital leaders and medical staff regarding health information issues
Establish workflows that ensure appropriate medical record completion and content
Manage resources in a costeffective manner following established budget targets
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Minimum of one year of HIM experience
