The Tight End Coach reports directly to the Head Coach and plays a key role in supporting the success of the
football program. This position is responsible for mentoring student athletes both on and off the field fostering
their development to help them reach their full potential. The Tight End Coach works alongside the Head Coach
to build a program that is proud of its accomplishments and positively impacts the University students alumni
and the surrounding community. Key responsibilities include assisting in the recruitment of studentathletes
managing various program operations (such as practice competitions travel and purchasing) and ensuring
compliance with all institutional conference and regulatory policies. The Tight End Coach will maintain uptodate
knowledge of recruiting rules and regulations and contribute to the overall management of the program as
assigned by the Head Coach including specific duties related to team logistics and player development.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintains current sportspecific technical and coaching knowledge develops existing members of the
program assists in the organization of practice plans and competition communicates and demonstrates
specific required skills.
Adheres to all institutional Conference and all other rules regulations and policies.
Responsible for the direction supervision and instruction of the offensive line position on the
fundamentals details and strategies.
Counsel student athletes in personal development academic and athletic performance.
Acts as a liaison to help coordinate community service involvement.
Assists Head coach in all academic matters pertaining to the team including instructing/teaching student
athletes in the fundamentals of the sport.
Other duties as assigned.

Strong oral and written presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have valid drivers license with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check. Must be able to read write and speak fluently in English.
Physical Demands
The work environment is an athletic and office setting which requires the ability to travel much of the time work
long hours including evenings and weekends be physically active able to lift up to 50 pounds and have the
ability to demonstrate specific skills.
