The primary responsibility of the Fieldwork Instructor is to observe guide and mentor Administrator Candidates in the manner determined by the School of Education and aligned with the University mission.
The Fieldwork Instructor will:
1. Become familiar with and be able to articulate theLMUConceptual Framework as well as the California State Standards for the credential in Administrative Services in order to facilitate the mastery of these tenets and standards by the candidates.
2. Mentor/coach candidates by supporting them through Unit Fieldwork Projects and the timely completion of required documentation and activities including providing comments and reflective feedback on administrative activities fieldwork assignment postings and critical analysis.
3. Collaborate with Site Supervisors and course instructors to ensure that candidates successfully complete their Unit Fieldwork Projects Fieldwork Instructors are required to provide communication/coaching at least once per week during the semester. This can include inperson phone or email communication.
4. Confer with the OnSite Supervisor during the semester
5. Complete Clinical Skills and Fieldwork in Residency evaluations of candidates to assess mastery of student learning outcomes and performance expectations
6. Participate in required professional development opportunities and requiredISLAevents and activities
7. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 510 years in successful classroom teaching experience. Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex highly technical information; Highly development organizational and leadership skills; Demonstrated computer competency knowledge of relevant systems and willingness to learn computer programs used in the supervision component of clinical fieldwork. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a leadership capacity at a school site school district charter management organization or at the archdiocesan level
Experience working in diverse socioeconomic areas as well as with English Learners and Special Education populations is preferred
Required Education:
A California Administrative Services Credential is required. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge skills and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Functional knowledge of computers and technology including various online assessment applications is highly desirable.
Expected Hourly Rate: $23.72
