YSS is seeking an enthusiastic caring fun compassionate Before & After School Supervisorto join our Kids Club Team in Ogden!
The goal of Kids Club is to develop a safe worthwhile educational and fun experience for the children who participate. As the Before & After School Supervisor you will be responsible for the daytoday operation and programming in one of our Kids Club locations. As part of our welltrained dedicated staff you will strive to create an environment where children can build positive relationships with caring adults. Other responsibilities include:
Plan and implement allday programming during the school year inservice days winter break spring break and summer.
Work with staff and community resources to identify recreational and educational activities.
Develop a structured servicelearning plan for each school year implementing themed monthly activities that align with program goals.
Provide leadership to site staff in the areas of behavior management teaching and administration.
Oversee the daily program from start to finish including preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
Supervise children in the program monitoring behavior participation and performance.
Monitor checkin and checkout procedures ensuring authorized dropoffs and pickups.
Track attendance payments relevant child and family data.
Complete required paperwork and attend all meetings and training sessions.

MUST HAVES Required Qualifications
A High School Diploma/equivalent and three years of experience in an elementary/middle school childcare or child development setting.
or
Associates or higher degree and at least one year of experience in an elementary/middle school childcare or child development setting
SHOULD HAVES Preferred Qualifications
Associates or higher degree in early childhood child development or elementary education
Successful completion of CPR/First Aid Universal Precautions and Mandatory Reporter Training.
If not in place at time of hire certifications must be obtained within the first three months of employment.
Experience working with individuals of diverse identities including racial ethnic gender sexual orientation and socioeconomic status.
Experience as a supervisor.
Is a strong communicator both verbally and nonverbally with excellent observational listening speaking and writing skills.
Able to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences including customers clients and the public as well as colleagues and other staff members
Patient and calm under pressure and able to deal with challenging situations with a good attitude.
Can think and act quickly to resolve complex problems using creative/critical thinking resourcefulness and tact
Organized with a high attention to detail.
Able to managetime and resources effectively.
