Essential Functions
Project Leadership Development and Implementation:
Oversee the implementation of the Gateway to Gold initiative ensuring alignment with the goals and objectives outlined in the Lilly Endowment grant.
Develop and manage project timelines budgets and deliverables ensuring the successful of the program.
Implement camper lifecycle support in alignment with DePauws enrollment plan and student success initiatives.
Lead a crossfunctional team of faculty staff and community partners to achieve project outcomes.
Collaborate with DePauw faculty and staff to develop and refine courses for precollege engagement programming.
Oversee the planning and delivery of orientation and training sessions for all camp stakeholder groups including campers parents and community partners.
Create and uphold an appropriate risk management plan for the program.
Grant Management:
Ensure compliance with all grant requirements including reporting financial management and documentation.
Monitor project progress prepare regular reports and communicate updates to university leadership and the Lilly Endowment.
Identify and address any challenges or risks to the successful completion of the project.
Supervision and Training:
Recruit train supervise and evaluate program instructors resident assistants and student mentors.
Ensure all staff and faculty follow program policies and procedures.
Event and Logistics Management:
Coordinate evening social events and other activities for the youth oncampus program.
Manage logistical aspects of the project including meals and transportation.
Program Evaluation:
Manage evaluations of the program including feedback from students and parents/guardians.
Use data to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
Establish and maintain outreach efforts with external communitybased organizations school districts and schools.
Lead marketing and recruitment efforts for the program to ensure diverse participation.
Additional Responsibilities:
Develop and update policies and procedures as needed.
Act as onsite Supervisor/Directoroncall during programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred in education higher education administration social work or a related field.
Five years of related experience in youth program planning and implementation including at least two years of supervisory experience.
Experience as a camp Director or Assistant/Associate Director preferably in a college or university setting.
