Job Description
The GIS Project Manager III role involves collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver GIS solutions manage enterprise GIS implementations and oversee multiple projects. The role requires strong problem-solving skills project management experience and the ability to lead a team of GIS professionals. The Project Manager will ensure high-quality deliverables on-time project completion and client satisfaction.
- Facilitate discovery sessions with clients to understand their business environment and requirements.
- Partner with technical teams to develop and enhance efficient GIS workflows and solutions.
- Steer projects address challenges and create innovative solutions as part of the project delivery team.
- Develop track and update comprehensive project schedules.
- Establish and manage project scope goals and deliverables.
- Track project milestones and provide progress reports including risk and scope change management.
- Employ advanced project management techniques and promote continuous process improvement.
- Prepare detailed documentation to support future project executions.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand their evolving business needs.
- Advise clients on the advantages of GIS technology.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
- Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) or GISP (GIS Professional).
- At least 5 years of experience in managing projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Background in GIS or IT.
- Experience in the natural gas utility or pipeline sectors.
