Job Description
Exciting opportunity to join the Credit Trading Markets technology team building out a full end to end strategic trade management capability for the Exotics business within JP Morgans strategic Athena platform.
As a Full Stack Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank Technology team your role will be pivotal in a rapidly expanding global agile team. You will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle from analysis and design to development and testing delivering valuable solutions to our trading and operations stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with a highperforming team to deliver critical technology solutions across various technical domains to meet business objectives.
This role will involve supporting an established platform team which delivers components for the firms strategic trading and risk management platform using modern React and with services in Python. A thorough understanding of Agile Delivery Methodologies and ObjectOriented Design is required for this role along with the ability to excel in a team through outstanding technical contributions communication and partnership.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and highquality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
- Handson practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Ability to work on large scale systems navigating unknowns and producing robust solutions to complex issues
- Experience with modern web app development using TypeScript and React
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Proficient in coding in one or more web languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with modern full stack web app development
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience in writing web services or data analysis using python beneficial
- Knowledge of Fixed Income financial markets products is preferred but not necessary
