Position Classification:
Regular parttime hourly and nonexempt staff position.Please note: this position is grantfunded.

General Schedule:
24 Hours per week Flexible Schedule

Position Overview:

The Oklahoma Council on Economic Education (OCEE) is dedicated to empowering the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in an everchanging economic landscape. By promoting personal finance and economic education we equip students with the tools to make informed decisions and achieve financial wellbeing.

As the Program Manager you will play a pivotal role in advancing this mission. Acting as the primary point of contact for OCEE programs you will cultivate relationships with educators community partners and stakeholders to expand our reach and influence. Your responsibilities will include developing andmanaging programs fostering community engagement and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives that promote financial literacy and economic education across the state. Position Summary:

Coordinates and develops OCEE programs serving the organizations target population and that are in alignment with the organizations stated mission. Interacts with staff leaders and community members. Develops and manages assigned stakeholder relationships that is consistent with policies and procedures. Creates maintains and updates assigned program schedules for contract deliverables and key events. Provides key program data to the Manager on a timely basis. Creates and develops presentations and marketing material programs. Coordinate or supervise program projects or events. Plans and coordinates meetings on project timing goals and budget to ensure fulfillment of internal and donor expectations and compliance with policies and contractual requirements. Ensures that all services provided are in compliance with applicable education standards and regulations. Supports community outreach and fundraising. Makes recommendations regarding process and procedure change. Provides input into budget development and is responsible for monitoring program budget. Handles moderately complex issues and problems. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. Report to the Executive Director.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

1. Program Support 60 time):

  • With direction from the Executive Director manage K12 professional development programs and student programs for educators and students as they relate to financial literacy.
  • Coordinate professional development for K12 educators through scheduling securing facilitators and registration.
  • Coordinate student programs i.e. MEE Competition Stock Market Game Invest in Girls etc.
  • Market programs to educators via website CRM software etc.
  • Meet program grant requirements in coordination with the Development Manager.
  • Gather and report data on all teacher and student programs.
  • Maintain consistent communications via phone email and inperson visits with educators school administrators instructors and university connections.
  • Follow and adhere to program budget.


2. Community and Volunteer Engagement 20 time):

  • Foster meaningful relationships with community members that will increase the awareness of programs services for financial literacy education and economic education.
  • Coordinate OCEE presence at state level conferences and programs for K12 educators.
  • Facilitating meaningful opportunities for volunteers and community stakeholders in programs such as the MEE Competition and Invest in Girls.
  • Assist in cultivating relationships with volunteers seeking and providing feedback and sharing opportunities for reciprocal growth and learning. Recognize the contributions of all volunteers.
  • Maintain consistent communications via phone email and inperson with top donor prospects educators school administrators instructors and current sponsors.


3. Funding Support and Donor Relations 20

  • Assist with writing of interim and final reports to program donors.
  • Assist with identifying and contacting potential program donors.
  • Foster relationships with potential and current donors.
  • Identify and arrange opportunities for donors to visit programs in order to participate and observe financial literacy education at work under direction of the Development Manager and Executive Director.
  • Track and report program requirements as outlined in grant agreements under direction of the Development Manager.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in field that provides knowledge of and exposure to communications public relations marketing or education. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results. Should have 3 years of experience in public relations marketing communication or education. Appropriate professional accomplishments and credentials.

Qualifications/Experience Preferred:

Experience in program management or nonprofit environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to selfmanage in a work environment where autonomy in accomplishing duties and meeting deadlines is valued.
  • Ability to listen and follow instructions; work with others in a team environment; read and comprehend instructions; demonstrate respect in interactions; honesty and integrity.
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and practices. Must be computer literate in using word processing software preferably Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication organizational and public relations skills. Ability to work well with others. Ability to operate office equipment. Ability to multitask. Demonstrate and warm and caring professional serviceoriented attitude.
  • Ability to work well in a busy environment with multiple projects running.
