Title:
Subcontracts SupervisorKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and valueadded solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include worldclass licensed process technologies differentiated advisory services deep technical domain expertise energy transition solutions highend design capabilities and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
KBR is looking for a Subcontracts Supervisor to support our project teams at site in Houston TX.
Performs full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work. Qualifies suppliers issues requests for proposals evaluates proposals maintains subcontract files in accordance to established procedures. Under limited supervision uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems or direct the daily activities of a business technical support or functional support team. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices. May direct resources prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Relies upon experience interpersonal skills and broad knowledge of field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies procedures and business strategy. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 10 years of experience.
Position Description/Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision actively participate in managing and administering Contractors engaged in construction activities for Energy & Chemical industry
Facilitates communication between Client Company and Contractors and manages all Contract documents including the daytoday preaward and postaward administration of subcontracts
Preaward activities include qualifies potential bidders assembles and issues Invitations To Bid thru companys Contract Management system and assists with commercial & technical bid evaluations through contract award
PostAward activities will include finalization and award of contracts daily management during including communications invoicing status reports and contract close out
Serve as interim Subcontracts Lead in dealing with Client Project Team and other KBR departments as needed.
If assigned candidate must be able to complete the site assignment under the Terms and Conditions set forth by KBR
Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Construction Science Engineering Industrial Distribution Quantity Surveying Supply Chain Management or Business Administrations or equivalent work experience
Minimum ten 10 years of experience in Subcontracts formation and administration
Must have excellent communication and writing skills attention to detail and commercial/risk awareness
