Job Description
SCHOOL INFORMATION
Founded in 1972 NorthPointe Christian Schools is an independent Christian institution dedicated to serving over 1300 students from preschool through high school. With a diverse community representing more than 120 churches NPCs pairs academic excellence with a strong Christcentered environment to reach our mission of equipping students to impact their world for Jesus Christ.
HIGHLIGHTS
This position is serving in our Colt Care program during the school year and summer.
- 15 hours per week after school during the school year 2:45PM5:45PM).
- 30 hours per week during the day in the summer.
Colt Care is a valuable resource for families providing a safe and engaging environment for children. Colt Care offers both morning and afternoon sessions during the school year and fun engaging field trips during the summer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 21 years old or older
- Love children
- Experience working with children
- Ability to pass background checks
- Reliable transportation required
- Be able to integrate Biblical principles into their daily teaching as well as model those in their daily lives
- Active Christian in agreement with and willing to sign the NorthPointe Christian Schools Foundational statements.

- Frequently stand and sit for extended periods.
- Frequently use manual dexterity and/or mobility to grasp and/or manipulate objects operate equipment and move around the classroom.
- On occasion engage with students while kneeling squatting stooping or bending 5070 degrees at the waist.
- Exert up to twentyfive pounds of force to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
- Perform daily repetitive movement of fingers and hands when writing and typing.
- Read printed and electronic material daily. See with clarity objects using close distant and peripheral vision.
- Sufficiently hear conversations in person and distinguish sounds clearly up to twenty feet.
- Must be able to maintain the continuous safety of the students and respond quickly and appropriately to any threat to their wellbeing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is a standard classroom gymnasium and/or outdoor setting. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high but depends on the student population and activities.
