Job Description
Overview
The Software Architect is first and foremost a problem solver. In addition the Software Architectis expected to make intuitive highlevel decisions for enterprise software design and development. The roles job is determining everything for enterprise design choices and matching them to the business requirements. Software Architect see the big picture and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team to provide a framework for the development of a software or system that will result in a highquality solution.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Shaping the technical vision for the software project system or platform including architecture design and development.
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to gather project requirements to develop or improve company products systems or technical processes or solutions.
- Researching and evaluating new technologies languages and design patterns.
- Develops a project scope or plan based on project stakeholder feedback and assess ricks challenges and cost analysis.
- Work closely with the Product team to advance organization technologies through evaluation of new products and custom development on existing applications
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of moderate to highly complex solutions (including data infrastructure reporting and applications) that address the informational and analytical needs of the various groups.
- Responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle which include requirements gathering solution design application development and system testing.
- Coordinate all aspects of implementation and training to support new programs and systems.
- Analyze end user data need and develop useroriented solutions which interface with existing applications.
- Maintain documentation for all work processes and procedures.
- Identify and recommend product customization enhancements or workaround(s) to meet business requirements
- Provide backup support for all work and project efforts as needed.
- Peer Review and approval of all final code ready to deploy
- Oversee and support the coaching and training of team members to ensure all necessary employees are confident in the use of software applications
- Develop functional unit testing around developed applications for testing automation.
- Ensure software meets all requirements of quality security modifiability and extensibility
- Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
Additional Responsibilities/Details:
- Acts as a technical liaison to other departments and may be responsible for providing support to the organizations Case/Client efforts using technology and critical thinking.
- Coordinate or lead all or portions of technology projects.
- Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions escalating to Manager when necessary and updating Manager on a regular basis
- Design workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field or comparable business/technical experience.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- At least 37 years of experience of application development experience which includes: programming data management collection modeling and interpretation across complex data sets. Programming skills (database system or scripting).
- At least 37 years of experience in software architecture design development and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries and use of Microsoft SQL Server database tables and connectivity.
- Expert level understanding of ObjectOriented Programming methodologies
- Experienced in designing full stack scalable manageable highly efficient solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business and project team.
- Demonstrated advanced analytical troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Demonstrated mastery of test strategies test plans and test .
- Experience with Microsoft Windows server infrastructure.
- Experience with Kubernetes Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning (ML) are a bonus
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Other Requirements:
- Experience in eDiscovery Space is a plus.
- Relativity / NUIX Platforms experience is a plus.
- Relativity Custom Application development experience is a plus.
