Job Summary
Supports and is responsible for incorporating into job performance the Frederick Health (FH) mission vision core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.

oMaintains a safe healthy and pleasant work environment for staff; ensures dispatch and transport equipment is safe and in good clean working condition; provides and maintains adequate levels of supplies and equipment.
oEnsures compliance with policies and procedures for departmental operations.
oAssists in coordination of Patient Transportation activities and services with other departments.
oAssists in maintaining records and statistical information for administrative operational and regulatory purposes.
oEnsures timely response to all patient and patientrelated transportation requests according to budgetary guidelines.
oEliminates outliers over 30 minutes.
oContinuously monitors response times and associate productivity.
oMaintains a teamwork environment of highly motivated associates.
oAssist with orientation of new hires to the Transport Department including maintaining scheduling and staffing.
oMotivates staff to function as a team in achieving goals and maximum productivity.
oEncourages staff to participate in education programs.
oInteract daily with nursing and other support departments; ensures the delivery of quality and timely service to patients physicians visitors and staff.
oFacilitates work standards and workflow.
oUnderstands and applies knowledge of basic patient transport concepts effective time management of transport along with efficiency of dispatching transports.
oUses AIDET principle when communicating with other department and staff.
oUnderstands and can explain and develop dispatcher logic and transporter activities.
oWork collaboratively with all Nursing Supervisor to determine prioritization of transports daily.
oEnsures proper operationofsoftwareprograms page and phone handling systems; is able to troubleshoot and work with Information Systems; ensures configurations are accurate and revise when necessary.
