JOB SUMMARY
Lead Shipping Supervisor will direct the numerous clerical duties to support the plant receiving and warehousing functions in regard to scheduling and timely delivery of materials. The Lead will perform traffic control in the shipping area and manage the online reconciliation of shipping and receiving records supporting the customer service team mailing team and the accounting team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Schedule and distribute work to appropriate employees and explain any special procedures and conditions that may affect the ontime delivery.
  • Monitor the department and communicate occasions needing corrective action to supervisor.
  • Schedule outside vendors for receipts and deliveries.
  • Communicate with other department supervisors and managers with regard to production schedules.
  • Communicate with purchasing in regard to supplies and stock.
  • Receive all deliveries.
  • Verify counts and conditions of materials received and document.
  • Assure delivery to appropriate departments and locations
  • Use of forklift to unload shipments from trucks and move to storage area or deliver to appropriate departments
  • Prepare daily weekly & period tracking reports particularly in regard to OSP shipments shipping to SAP mailing internal and external posting and all other relevant Hagan reporting.
  • Reconcile delivery slips with purchase orders
  • Comply with work and safety rules; Communicate and abide by company policies.
  • Work overtime and weekend hours as needed
  • Assist Bindery Manager Pressroom Manager and Fulfillment Manager in plant record keeping function.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and management. Works with others in a professional polite manner.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by Plant or Production Manager.

Preferred Skills
  • 3 years experience in a receiving operation including procedures equipment and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of the printing industry and the functional workflow.
  • Clerical experience in amanufacturing environment strongly desired. Experienced in Hagen and SAP Data Management Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work ina busy office performing multiple tasks simultaneously with various office equipment .
  • Must be at work on time as scheduled; must be willing to work nights weekends and overtime.
  • Mathematical Skills ability to add subtract multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Compute rates discounts count inventory and percentages. Calculate volumes weights and measures. Ability to
  • Work Planning Organization & Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • H.S. diploma or equivalent associates degree preferred
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word ExcelOutlook and various database programs
