The Team:

The Methodologies Group is responsible for developing maintaining updating and retiring all the Criteria and Models used to assign credit ratings by S&P Global Ratings analysts worldwide. As a Methodologies Analyst you will be embedded within the Financial Services Methodologies Group to work closely with and under the direction of Criteria Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Model SMEs from the related Ratings Practice area. The scope of work you will be exposed to includes helping develop maintain and update Criteria and Models supporting the assignment and tracking of Criteria interpretations Ratings to Principles Criteria Borrowings and Criteria Exceptions and assisting in the periodic Criteria review process and republication of nonmaterial changes to Criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance and direction of senior colleagues contribute to the development of new models or updates to existing criteria or other relevant analyses by conducting detailed research and analysis that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of relevant criteria
  • Uses S&P methodology and standards Excel financial models or other analytical tools to assist senior colleagues and achieve the groups objectives
  • Maintains research records management
  • Coordinate with global offices to ensure data used in the analysis is used consistently across international borders

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $62458 to $80400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location as well as experience level skill set training licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
