Job Description
Were seeking a versatile team member who enjoys troubleshooting and machine repair in an offshift industrial setting. Were expanding our team & hiring!
What Youll Be Doing:
Repairs and maintains buildings machinery and mechanical equipment to include performing electrical functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams sketches operation manuals and manufacturers specifications using hand tools power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts.
- May set up and operate lathe drill press grinder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Completes training on new and existing equipment.
- May specialize in one or more of the following areas but would not be required to have specialized knowledge in all areas: mechanical electrical electronics HVAC and hydraulics. In all cases would have general knowledge of all areas.
- Complies with all quality and ISO standards and OSHA standards
- Applies electrical knowledge to test electrical equipment and controls circuitry to determine causes of malfunction.
- Assembles and tests motor control devices switch panels transformers solenoids and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals.
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Must have lock out tag out training and able to train other technicians.
Schedule:
1st Shift: 5AM 3:30PM Monday through Thursday Overtime as needed
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in related industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with:
- hydraulics mechanical electrical machine control and/or PLCs
- welding/metal fabrication
- manufacturing environment
- maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot diagnose and repair industrial equipment. Must also have ability to: troubleshoot diagnose and repair electrical or electronic equipment and components; read and understand electrical and machine schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently; 50 lbs occasionally
- Computer skills able to navigate various software including manufacturing software and maintenance tracking systems.
- US Person (meets ITAR/EAR requirements)
Preferred
- Twoyear technical degree or vocational training in industrial maintenance
- Familiarity of NEMA standards and UL Listings practices
- Master Electrician License or similar
- Experience with welding robotic welding or metal forming equipment including bending cutting or roll forming.
