Job Description

Want to make a real difference
Interior Community Services (ICS) is looking for a compassionate and resourceful Affordable Housing Coordinator to support individuals and families in finding safe stable and affordable housing. This role is all about walking alongside people as they navigate housing systems advocate for their needs and connect with the right community supports.

Youll collaborate with landlords service providers and agencies to help break down barriers to housing. If you thrive in a fastpaced peoplecentered role and care deeply about housing stability wed love to hear from you.


What Youll Do

  • Help people find and keep longterm housing
  • Assist with applications subsidies and navigating systems
  • Build relationships with landlords and housing partners
  • Advocate for clients and connect them with local resources
  • Track progress and keep accurate records
  • Bring your empathy organization and teamwork every day

What You Bring

  • A diploma in human services community support or related field
  • 1 year supporting people facing poverty or housing instability
  • Knowledge of housing systems tenancy rights and support programs
  • Strong communication organization advocacy and problemsolving skills
  • A traumainformed and culturally sensitive approach to your work


Other Musts

  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License safe driving record
  • Reliable vehicle (with $5M Business Use insurancereimbursement available)
  • Frequent travel within Kamloops and occasional travel to surrounding communities (Merritt Chase etc.
  • Willing to complete certifications: CPRC Mandt SafeTalk Privacy and Information Sharing AntiBullying and Harassment.
  • Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
  • Unionized position with a 1.85 union due deduction


PPROGRAM: Housing and Facilities

LOCATION: Kamloops BC

STATUS: FullTime

HOURS of WORK: 35 hours per week

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday. Generally daytime schedule with flexible hours to meet the needs of the clients and the program.

REPORTS TO: Manager of Housing and Tenant Relations

COMPENSATION: $25.95 $29.76 per hour (Grid 10 as per collective agreement)
