Qualifications youll bring:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 5 years of accounting experience plus 3 years of leadership experience.
- Strong analytical abilities in interpreting financial and accounting data.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role required.
- Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth

Your key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Statutory Accounting team providing guidance and support to team members.
- Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and review of annual Medical Loss Ratio filings occurring throughout the year.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to senior management.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the audits process and address any audit findings.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure their implementation within the team.
- Oversee and review preparation of monthly journal entries and reporting functions for monthly close.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Oversee and review State Premium Stop Loss recovery billing and reconciling.
- Mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer.
