Penn States multibilliondollar Long Term Investment Pool (LTIP) is a diversified program invested across a variety of asset classes and strategies.

The Office of Investment Management (OIM) together with Penn State Investment Council (appointed by the Universitys Board of Trustees) are charged with managing the LTIP for current and future program spending while preserving the longterm purchasing power of the overall portfolio. Wisely investing funds for Penn State will support future generations through education while also contributing to the growth and development of Penn State.

Position Summary

OIM is looking for an Investments Associate or an Associate Director of Investments based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. This individual will report to the person leading private equity investing for OIM. As a key member of a growing investment team the position will monitor existing investment managers and conduct due diligence on new investment position will make recommendations to improve the process the existing portfolios and support the overall mission. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the strategic design and oversight of Penn States investment portfolios.

The position will be primarily focused on private equity but offers an opportunity to have broad exposure to all asset classes and develop investment expertise in endowment a member of OIM you will be joining a team of individuals who have the ambition to help Penn State succeed.

Competencies Experience Knowledge and Skills

The Pennsylvania State University seeks an experienced and dynamic investment professional that will challenge and assist in the evolution of our investment beliefs. Passion for investing and intellectual curiosity are necessary. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment with a diverse team.

The Investments Associate position minimally requires a bachelors degree and 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The preferred candidate will have previously supported individual fund due diligence including sourcing ideas; supported participation in Limited Partner Advisory Committees (LPACs); supported completion of all legal documents with the assistance of counsel. MBA or similar masters degree CAIA and/or CFA Charterholder or progress towards preferred.

Willingness to travel meaningfully 25 both domestically and less frequently internationally.

The Associate Director of Investments position minimally requires a bachelors degree and 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading individual fund due diligence including sourcing ideas participation in Limited Partner Advisory Committees (LPACs) engagement with all legal documents with the assistance of counsel and regular communication with General Partners to maintain strong relationships. MBA or similar masters degree CAIA and/or CFA Charterholder or progress towards preferred.

Willingness to travel meaningfully 25 both domestically and less frequently internationally.
