Key Accountabilities
- Interface with engineering staff operations & maintenance groups and other Vistra personnel to ensure consistent practical and effective engineering solutions
- Rotate through different groups within the engineering department to gain a working knowledge of engineering functional areas. Shadowing of other departments to include but are not limited to Operations Maintenance Radiation Protection and Chemistry
- Will be assigned various engineering projects based on prior experience and courses completed
- Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Possess the ability to work independently on assignments and problem solve with teams and in a dynamic environment
- All other duties as assigned
Education Experience & Skill Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship
- Must be currently enrolled in a 4year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in engineering data science or related discipline
- Experience with programming languages project management Power BI or machinery desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel Word PowerPoint) Access Suite desired
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills; presentation skills desired
- Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date
- Must be in good academic standing with your school
